Chris Hemmings
I am a psychotherapist, public speaker, author and founder of M-Path and co-founder of Handlemodeller.dk. Before becoming accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I spent ten years as a journalist working for the BBC, writing articles and making TV documentaries about men, masculinity and mental health. I published my first book: “Be A Man: How Macho Culture Damages Us and How to Escape It” in 2017. The book examined the damaging effects of macho culture on men’s mental health, relationships, and wellbeing.
In 2019 I founded the organisation M-Path. Our mission is to actively and compassionately engage men and boys in conversations about their emotional intelligence and wellbeing.
We recognise that it’s only once men feel their challenges have been met and understood that they can be effectively engaged in compassionately meeting the challenges of others.
As a keynote speaker I deliver talks on masculinity and inclusion. I also facilitate workshops on empathetic leadership, men’s mental health and upstanding allyship to organisations all over the world. My passion for helping men to create their own spaces for engaging with their emotional wellbeing has also seen me lead the creation of men’s groups and well-being networks within some of the world’s biggest corporations.
My work as a psychotherapist is focussed solely on men – working to encourage more men in to therapy and to engage with it for longer.
I am also a proud member of the LGBTQI+ community and produced presented the first ever BBC television documentary on bisexuality in 2018.

Roger Courage Matthisen
I am a coach, presenter and founder of Courage Institute and Handlemodeller.dk.
I have dedicated large parts of my life to working with inequality, anti-racism, climate justice and new binding communities and movements both as a consultant, a member of the Danish Parliament and as an activist. I am and have been a used debater in a wide range of
media such as DR P1, TV2 News Co and others. and has produced a number of articles on the subjects.
In 2020 I will start the DIFA training, Diversity Inclusion Facilitator Advisor. Here we train and certify the participants to be able to facilitate and advise DEI processes and collaborate with leading researchers and practitioners in the field. In 2023, the DIFA program enters into partnership with Mannaz A/S and becomes the Diversity and Inclusion programme.
For many years I have worked with inclusion, diversity and equality. In the work with psychological safety and allyship, the need to be able to engage men in this agenda has become a clearer and more important focus in my work. At the same time, in my own development as a man and coach, I have dealt with men’s circles and communities in the desire to contribute to the development of masculinity in the 21st century.
We look forward to hearing from you.
